Her husband indicated that she had left her residence on foot to go to a local convenience store located at Mississippi and Buckley Rd., in Aurora, CO. He did not report her missing until October 31, 1996. He is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges. On 11/15/2013, the husband of Kimberly, Michael Medina, was convicted of first degree murder in the disappearance of Kimberly. Her body has yet to be recovered.
